Fighting for Faith, The Beginning, even in fear

To fight for faith. Who has had to stand and fight in the rain and wind that try so hard to pull you away? Who has had to challenge cultural norms because they cause so much anxiety and depression in yourself, they just cannot be God’s way? How do you know God is real? You can feel Him, see Him and know Him in everyday if you just stop and listen, wait, and watch. He will send the right people into your life to move you, He will send the right situations your way for you to understand His path. All you must do is keep walking, with your head up focused on Jesus’ hand stretched down to keep you from drowning, and your heart focused inward to your energy. Where is it flowing, is it frantic and chaos or calm and peaceful?

Everyone is human, and therefore flawed. We see things through our own lenses dirtied by life’s experiences and demands. So how can we trust people and the words and paths they tell you are right? You don’t. You lean into yourself and your energy flows toward calm and peace with the Holy Spirit. What do I mean by the Holy Spirit? When you decide to believe in Jesus, that He died on the cross for YOU, that He came to set YOU free, and that He loves you for exactly who you are, then this amazing thing happens. The Holy Spirit comes in and joins your spirit and creates a calm flow towards a peaceful heart. This is the freedom we hear about; this is the salvation. This peace that won’t end even after death, we get to continue to be with this calming flow of energy forever. Now, I didn’t say easy, no this is not easy. But life is not easy, life is messy and hard and hurts and because of evils existence is sometimes unbearable. Life is the eternal balance of good and evil, until there is no more life and only good and evil remain. You will fall one way or the other. Bu, I really don’t like the use of the words good and evil. Good has an ambiguous meaning, constrained by boxes and cultural norms and rules that have really rendered that word useless. I will instead use the words calming and peaceful because evil is neither of those it is chaos and anxiety and all the feelings of destruction.

In this world today, so many find refuge in nature because of its calming effects, its peaceful and perfectly made by God. Nature tends to recenter people back to calm and it brings peace to hearts that are so troubled by the things in the world. In my experience, this is what the Holy Spirit does when you rest in allowing its energy to flow through you and move with your own spirit. Calling on the Holy Spirit to come and bring rest to you, is like sitting in nature and hearing nothing but rustling of the trees and calls of wildlife. There are no rules to follow, or boxes to cram yourself into only you and the Holy Spirit making a difference in the world. True freedom is release from the worlds rules and boxes and allowing yourself to live as God intended, the Holy Spirit will guide you to these amazing places and situations that will change another’s life for the better. Isn’t that everyone’s goal in life, to help those in need, to be a light in darkness, to just create change? Status quo gets stagnant and steeped in rules, power dynamics shift, and God is forgotten. God’s name is still used but no longer for reasons He created us for, it now is yielded to control others and hold others down that do not conform. Conformity becomes the norm and different becomes outcast and abused with the ultimate goal of destruction. See how Satan twisted that? He took God’s name and twisted it towards destruction, chaos, evoking anxiety depression and evil. The reliance on Holy Spirit and keeping your eyes on Jesus got lost in the rules and demands of living the “good” and “right” life. Not one person can determine that life for
